in Girard, lost an infant child by death last week; it was buried in the
Crawford Cemetery just north of Blooming Grove last Thursday evening."

I am attaching the photo that I took of the Levi Surber
tombstone in the Crawford Cemetery. Because I don't know who took the much
earlier photo of his tombstone, I am using years as inscribed on the stone as it
appears on the much earlier photo which confirms the year of 1839 as his year of
birth and 1893 as his year of death. Levi Surber's full name was Samuel Levi
Surber, but he went by Levi Surber. After his death, his wife (Permelia Jane
Crawford married 2nd, on Dec. 11, 1895, William M. Huson. She also went by her middle name.
There appears
to be some decoration of some sort, perhaps flowers, on the bottom portion of
the tombstone. If there was any further inscription in that lower area, it was
not readable in the earlier photo nor in the photo I took on Sunday, August 5,
2012 at 10:43 a.m.
Thank you,
