Wrote Nov. 22, 1928. Old Gillespie Cem: Chesterfield Townshp. Situated in a pasture.
1/4 of a mile from Public road East of road. On land owned by Mrs. Mary Duckles, Wife of Joe Duckles, It
got its name from a Man By the Name of Gillespie. Can't find his grave. Hogs and Cattle run all over it. There are
about 30 or 40 Graves. But ten is all that can be counted. It has been 60 yrs since anybody has been buried in this
cern. It is full of all Kinds of trees, scattered all over it. There is a fence on the South side, woven wire & Barb.
Old Hedge & posts are standing on the other side. Information obtained from Mr. Albert Sawtell. No Trustees, No
Caretaker has been in the ownership of Hamsby's (sp. ?) for many years.
Gracey was the Oldest Grave Died In 1848.
