An old man by the name of Stults owned the land when the cemetery was
laid off about 1859. There is a deed to the cem. but it has been
misplaced. The land on the east & south and west is owned by
Mr. Alabauh. Mr. Wm Beard owns the land on the north. There
is a road 33 ft. wide leading to the cem. from the east the main road
ends at Mr. Alabauh’s house. The road needs a bridge and some
work did “as is” on it that leads back to the cem.
The cem. Need a lot of work did to it. Sprouts and weeds are
high. Ground hog working in graves. The cem. Has a good
drainage to the south and north. 3 mi. NW of Palmyra.
Additions: The Grantor – Clarence H. Stults – unmarried of the
town of Barr in Mac. Co. for $30 warrants to Cyrus J. Miller, Thomas J.
Dawson & Edward L. Stults, Trustees of the Stults Graveyard, &
to their successors in office for convenience of graveyard.
Commencing 288 feet east of the NW corner of the NW ¼ of the SE ¼ of
Section No. 34 Township No. Eleven North Range No. 9 west of the 3rd
P.M. thence running east 4 rods, thence south 14 rods, thence in a
South West direction to a point 16 rods south of the place of beginning
thence North to place of beginning. Dated 31 May, 1912.
