Descendants of Hugh Miles ENOS

Hugh Miles Enos (1827-1906) was one of the pioneers of Macoupin Cnty IL arriving there sometime about 1850 after a reported trip to the gold fields of California. In 1856 he married an English lass, Mary White in Macoupin and settled there. His homesite and little community once appeared on the maps as Enos Station, Bird Twp.
Their children were: (all Enos, all born Enos Station, Bird Twp)

Kona HIThis school map shows Enos marked in Bird Township. In 2009, there is enough "feeling of the land" when you go to the area of the former Enos that "this is where Enos was."
